Linda Larson Schlitz,

I started my journey of recovery in 1976 and enjoyed 10 years sober, active in church, and traveling nationwide in a music ministry until a painful divorce threw me into single parenting and confusion. A friend from church invited me over for dinner and a glass of wine and it took 10 long years of drinking to get to the point where it was so destructive it almost ended my career as a counselor.


It is hard to ask for help when you are a professional, a Christian, active in your faith community, and looked up to as an example, but it got me here today to share my journey with you. I am glad you are here.
